Rila Mountain is the highest mountain range in Bulgaria and also in the entire Balkan Peninsula. It is a place where you can go hiking, climbing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. It is quite close to Sofia as a transfer from the capital to the main departure points to the upper parts of the mountain is equal to approximately 1:30 hour by car.With this program we offer you a 1-day snowshoeing trip in Rila National Park to its most popular and one of the most spectacular places the 7 Rila Lakes. Description
Transfer (1:15 h from the capital) to the Panichishte winter resort. From there we take the chairlift to the new Rila Lakes lodge and take a circular walk along the shores of 5 of the lakes. The 7 Rila Lakes are considered a magical and spiritual centre that holds and reflects a lot of spatial energy. It is the most famous and most visited mountaineering spot in all of Bulgaria. In the afternoon there is the possibility of taking advantage of the open-air thermal pools of Sapareva Banya in the foothills of the Rila.
