MTB Tour in Western Rodopes
Overview
2 days by bike in the area of Bansko and the infamous high mountain village of Ortsevo. The tour will takes us on a panoramic loop that will makes us familiar with grate landscapes or Rila, Pirin and Rodopes mountains. As a part of the tour we will have a short ride on 1267 nаrrow gauge train line that goes through the curvy valleys of the area and climbs to an altitude of 1267m, where is the highest train station on the Balkan peninsula.A tour that is not technically demanding and very rewarding in term of cultural contact and view. Still require some previous MTB experience.

Description
Day 1: Bansko - Avramovo Village - Ortsevo Village
Start from Bansko with the narrow gauge train up to 1300. Ride accros the range of Velijtsa towards the village of Ortsevo. Possible extension depending on your choice.
Day 2: Ortsevo Village - Eleshnitsa - Bansko
We keep riding south on the main ridge, viiting several lost in time neighborhoods. In 2 hours we start a long and exciting decent all the way down to Eleshnitsa village. Possible visit of outdoor thermal water pool.

Difficulty level: Easy. Distance of around 25 km per day with climbs of around 500m. We follow dirt roads and some asphalt.Gallery
