Snowshoeing tour in Rila and Pirin National Parks
Връх Ибър в Рила
Overview
Bulgaria is a country where mountains are a crucial part of its culture. This is due to its high mountains, with Rila and Pirin at the top, which reach almost 3,000 m. The Rila massif has a strong alpine character and magnificent forests. The peaks of the Malyovitsa region compete for their size and beauty with those of the neighboring Pirin massif, with its picturesque relief of white marble. The northern part of Pirin is a National Park , inscribed on the UNESCO Natural Heritage List for the exceptional richness of its ecosystems and for its vast forests, where some trees are over 1,000 years old! Thanks to the continental climate with Mediterranean influence, we still have cold winters here with plenty of snow. At this time of year, the two massifs become perfect terrain for snowshoeing. On the slopes of both mountains there are hot springs that can be used for a perfect combination of physical activity and relaxation. The Pirin area has well-preserved authentic folklore and contact with local people will allow us to learn more about it.Price
