A 3-day ski touring program in Pirin Mountain. We will be based at the Bansko ski resort and will do day trips in the area. Our goals will be climbing and skiing down several of the most interesting peaks of Pirin.

    Description

    Day 1: Bansko - Polezhán peak - Bansko

    30-minute transfer from Bansko to the Gotse Delchev hut, located above the village of Dobrínishte. By an old and intriguing chairlift we will climb up to 2240 m to the Bezbog refuge. Here we start the skinning up to the Polezhán peak at 2850 m, firstly around the frozen Bezbog lake and furhet along the panoramic ridge between Polezhan and Bezbog peaks. We have several options to ski down. Either to the Gotse Delchev hut located at 1450m or through Deminanitsa hut and further down to Bansko. We will choose depending on the conditions. Dinner and accommodation in Bansko.NB: if you are located in Sofia or Borovets we can provide early transfer to Pirin mountains and still do the plan for the day.

    Ascent 600m Descent 1400m

    Day 2: Bansko - Hvoinati peak (or Vihren peak) - Bansko

    20-minute transfer to the ski area above the city. We will spend the day in the area of Pirin's highest peak, Vihren. From 1650 m, in approximately 1:00 hour we climb to the refuge of the same name, which is at 1950 m. Our route goes further up the valley approaching Lake Murátovo and finally to the top of Jvoinati Peak (2635 m) which offers a spectacular view from close to Vihren Peak. There are several options for descending depending on the snow conditions. We skied down to Bansko. Accommodation in Bansko.

    Ascent 1000m Descent 1600m

    Day 3: Bansko - Dautov peak - Bansko

    A short transfer will take us to the small Kúlinoto ski area where the ski lift will take us to the starting point. We climb to the top of the remote Dautov peak (2597 m) and ski down to the altitude of 1400 m.
